Common questions

Can Vaultixs see my passwords?
No. Vaultixs uses zero-knowledge encryption — your vault is encrypted and decrypted entirely on your device using a key derived from your master password. We never receive or store your master password or any unencrypted data.
What happens if I forget my master password?
Because of how zero-knowledge encryption works, we cannot recover your master password for you. You can set up an Emergency Access contact before this happens, so a trusted person can request access after a waiting period you define.
Can I use Vaultixs on multiple devices?
Yes. All plans, including the free plan, support unlimited devices. Your vault syncs automatically whenever you make a change.
How do I import passwords from LastPass, 1Password, or Bitwarden?
Go to Settings → Import in the Vaultixs web app. We support CSV exports from LastPass, 1Password, Bitwarden, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Dashlane. The import is fully client-side — your data never leaves your device in plain text.
Is the Vaultixs browser extension safe?
Yes. The extension requests only the permissions it needs (reading the current page URL to match credentials). Our extension source is open for review on GitHub.
