Terms of Service

By creating a Vaultixs account or using the Vaultixs service (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Vaultixs Ltd ("Vaultixs", "we", "our"). We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email. Continued use after a notified change constitutes acceptance.

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for: • Keeping your master password secure. We cannot recover it for you. • All activity that occurs under your account. • Ensuring that anyone who uses your account on your behalf agrees to these Terms. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

You agree not to: • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws. • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure. • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of any closed-source components of the Service. • Use automated means to access the Service in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair it. • Store, share, or transmit content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others. Vaultixs reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.

Vaultixs offers a free plan with no time limit and paid plans (Pro, Developer) billed monthly or annually. • Free plan features are provided as-is. We reserve the right to change or limit free plan features with 30 days' notice. • Paid plans are billed in advance. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods unless required by law. • Annual plans are non-refundable after 14 days from purchase. • You can cancel a paid plan at any time. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

If you use Vaultixs for a team, the team owner ("Admin") is responsible for: • Managing team member access. • Ensuring all team members comply with these Terms. • Paying the applicable team subscription fees. Admins can remove members and revoke their access at any time.

Vaultixs uses zero-knowledge encryption. Your vault contents are encrypted on your device and we cannot access them. This means: • If you lose your master password and have no recovery method set up, we cannot restore access to your vault. • In the event of a lawful disclosure request, we can only provide encrypted data which is of no practical use without your master password. We are not responsible for data loss arising from forgotten master passwords.

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. Scheduled maintenance and unplanned outages may occur. Status updates are available at status.vaultixs.com. We will notify users by email for any outage exceeding 2 hours.

All content, design, and code comprising the Vaultixs Service (excluding open-source components) is the intellectual property of Vaultixs Ltd. You may not copy, modify, or distribute it without our written permission. Content you store in your vault remains yours. By storing it with us, you grant us only the rights necessary to provide the Service (i.e. storing and syncing your encrypted data).

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vaultixs Ltd shall not be liable for: • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. • Loss of data arising from forgotten master passwords or user error. • Damages resulting from service interruptions. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

You may delete your account at any time from the Account Settings page. On deletion, your encrypted vault and all associated data will be permanently erased within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
